Come and gone. February that is.
We spent many of our days inside keeping warm and/or
out of the rain... which means plenty of art projects.

{Mardi Gras Weekend}
We spent a long weekend with Ducky, Aunt Kristie and Landon in LA. The boys went fishing while the girls shopped and went to the children's parade. Bes and Mae were not sure what to think when we first got there but it didn't take them long to get the hang of it and we came home with quite an impressive stash of goodies!!
Of course, a trip to Target is a must... and they could spend hours in the shoe section! Mama's practicality in shoe choices do not satisfy the inner fashionistas of these two.

Mae discovered that A LOT of beads hit the ground and
from then on she was hooked... and busy.

Then they discovered they were throwing candy too!! You mean I can just walk around and pick candy off the ground and open it and eat it!?! 4,325 pieces later they were certain they had found heaven on earth (and then Bes threw up).

Sorting out all her loot for the day! We had such a fun time!! So crazy what a big deal Mardi Gras is in that part of the world and Bes had never even heard of it.
And even daddy had a successful day fishing!
