I love these two.

If only these pictures had sound.

Hippity Hop Easter's on its way!

Bes had her first Easter egg hunt of the season this week at Mother's Day Out... several more hunts to come, we're just getting started! =) She absolutely adores going to school and talks about "Miss Oocy"... it's Mrs. Lucy but she misses that "L"... and her friends, Nash, Rowe and Camel (Campbell) ALL the time. Most days she cries when I pick her up because she wants to stay! Nash's mom took the most fabulous photos (as always) of all the egg huntin' fun.
Nash and Bes.

My pretty girl.

Swim like a fish.

We are gearing up for summer and looking forward to many days
spent at the pool!
That's right folks, it's swimming lessons time!

Once we got there my camera battery died after this one and only shot. Boo.

Bes and her boots...

One thing I try my hardest to do is NOT complain about the weather. If it never got cold, would we really enjoy warm weather... or vice versa? Somewhere out there someone needed all this rain we've been having and God provided. =) Bes sure has been happy... because she is obsessed with her "pink boots". Every morning she asks, "Can I wear my pink boots day mama? Pease?" The other morning after some serious rain I let her put on her beloved boots and head out to do some puddle jumpin'... she had a blast!

So surprised she said, "Gook mama! That stick is takin' a baf!"
She was birthed a daddy's girl... and still going strong.

Last week while I was at Bible study, Bes and her daddy painted a birdhouse.
As you can tell the back is all her handiwork...
and my favorite part, of course! =)

Sick and tired.

Like a ton of bricks yesterday it hit me. I will be 30 in exactly 2 months. Why all of the sudden I am dreading bidding farewell to my 20s I don't know but I have decided that I am sick and tired of wanting to do things and for whatever reason not getting them done.
For instance, I have always wanted to read the Bible in it's entirety, so in 2010, the year of my 30th, that's my plan. I'm currently on day 62.
In recent years, I have been REALLY wanting to learn to sew... I got a sewing machine for Christmas 2 years ago and I just know I have it in me to do something really great with it but so far... nada.
Another thing...I have always wanted to be a runner... I know without a doubt that 2 people would have a good laugh on that one... one being Coach Tally, my junior high track coach, he and I will both agree that putting me in that 2 miler was a BIG mistake... and two being my friend Kimmy... you see she invited me to walk/run the 5k her town held during their annual Bodock Festival several years ago. When the starting gun sounded she shot out of there like she was an Olympic sprinter and left me to eat her dust... some time later with the local firetruck honking at my tail I crossed the finish line. In last place. I kid you not. So... back in September I started running. A minor setback led me to a 3 mo hiatus but now I am back in business. To up the ante a little, I will RUN a 5k... in it's entirety... just a few days after I turn 30 to be exact and for the record... Kimmy, me and you, Bodock Festival 5k 2010... it's on like a chicken bone. On this note, I will also get my body back to "what I used to be"... I will not enter my 30s disgusted with the spare tire that is setting up camp around my middle. While I have all but come to terms with the fact that two piece swimsuits are a thing of the past that doesn't mean that I can't rock a really cute skirted tankini, right!?!
So with this "timeline" looming over my head I have decided that I am going to enter my 30s with a new can-do-get-it-done attitude. Bring. It. On.
Which brings me to today... my husband goes to get a haircut and brought me home a coke icee. My fav. Never mind the fact that I haven't had a coke in weeks... and I am trying my hardest to loose a few... needless to say it was the ULTIMATE form of temptation but I didn't give in... no, I did not... even in all of it's 32 oz glory. I couldn't bear to let it all go to waste and I do have a 2 year old that loves her a coke more than anything in this world... I know, I know tsk tsk... but I will note here that coke is only a special treat and usually isn't anything more than a few sips of her daddy's... until today, that is... I decided that today would be a
special treat for Miss Bessie Boo.
So I gave her my beloved coke icee. And she sucked it down like it was
the greatest thing on earth... and I have no doubt that it was.
"My ub it mama."
Oh and like the outfit? That's just how we roll most days around our house. =)
