Today's Letters Tribute

Obviously, the last month has held its share of late night feedings. Like alot. More like alot, alot... but all that time to kill has allowed me to catch up on my blog reading (Attn friends: UPDATE YOUR BLOGS!! OFTEN!!). I had heard of the blog Today's Letters but never had read it.... until recently. And now I am hooked. I even started at the very beginning and was obsessed with reading every. single. entry. I kind of have a blog crush on Mr. and Mrs. Loerke. So in honor of my obsession, this post will be Today's Letter's style.

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Sumrall, 9 years ago today you sent your girlfriends college roomie and bestie sunflowers for her birthday. Because they were her fav and she didn't have a snazzy fella as yourself to send her any that year. You didn't even tell me you were doing it. You just did. Reason # 825 why I love you. Dear Kater Hater, You are my favorite Kater Hater in all the land. Happy birthday to you!... still wishing you a hottie wearing a white baseball cap, driving a muddy Z71 with a four wheeler in back. =) Dear Suma (she's not my twinner but folks have often thought I've been her), During the girls' recent sleepover I may or may not have witnessed Bes giving BK step by step instructions on how to nurse her baby doll. Funny stuff that was. Dear Hubs, I have said a time or two (or twenty) that there's not much that my daddy can't do.... I am now quite confident that Bes and Mae's daddy has entered into that elite group as well. Top 3: Our newly stained carport... downright glorious. The hideous $20 Salvation Army desk... now painted and distressed to perfection. Mae's once plain 'ol changing table... makes me want to shimmy across the previously mentioned gloriously stained carport. I. love. you. yes. I. do.

I can't believe that it has already been a month since Mae day...

He is Risen!

The Easter bunny came to see the Sumrall girls!

Mae decided she would sleep through all the excitement.

Happy Easter from our family to yours!

Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh church! Come stand in the light!
Our God is not dead, He's alive! He's alive!

To my girls.

your mama loves you.
always and forever.
no matter what.

That's how we roll.

2 seconds before this pic was taken Bes looks over at Mae and squeals, "Mama, look at her! She is so excited!" Well, of course she is... can't you tell? =)

A couple of firsts...

First bath...

First family of 4 photo. =)

Proud BIG sis!

This picture just makes me laugh... and I have a bazillion more just like them. Every. single. time Bes holds her baby sister she wants me to take a picture and every. single. time she beams with big sister pride! Little Miss Mamie just has no idea how much fun she's in for with a big sister as cool as Bessie!

Precious pacis from a precious friend.

Wait a second, that's not right!

There, that's much better. =)

FINALLY!!

Since Bes has been so sick she hasn't been able to be around her little sister much... her Daddy told her yesterday that she could hold Mae when she woke up in the morning. She no more had opened her eyes and she was asking to hold her baby sister!! I think Bes enjoyed it slightly more than little Miss Mamie did!

I survived... barely.

We made it home from the hospital on Sunday... Bes made it home from her fun weekend with DeeDee on Monday... later that night she began running a fever. About the time I took the picture in the previous post we realized it. Later that night she complained of an earache so "Dr. Daddy" fixed her up... we've been there and done that a bajillion times so we knew when she was still running a fever on Wednesday that it might be something more. Quick trip to the pediatrician confirmed that Daddy was right about the ear infection but she also had the FLU!!! Sure am glad I took her kicking and screaming for that flu shot! Wednesday night will go down as the worst night EVER for Bes... and for me. Bes was the sickest I have ever seen her... and I was a hormonal hot mess... to say the very least. Trying to stay germ free and take care of Mae but want nothing more than to just sit and rock my biggest baby until she felt better. Oh me, tears are stinging in my eyes just thinking about it. One frantic phone call home later and my mom was on her way to my rescue! I am happy to report yesterday was her first fever free day and she is on the mend!

Feverbugz = brilliant!
Stick a bug sticker on their head and it monitors fever for 48 hours!

Operation BABY MAE CAN NOT GET THE FLU!! was in full force. =)
