Snow was predicted and lo and behold, snow it did! I had already decided that today was going to be a "snow day" for us whether it snowed or not and while I had visions of a morning spent snuggling on the couch watching cartoons with my babes...
this little girl was thinking quite the opposite. She woke up before the sun SO excited about the snow... and might I add at this point it was only a very light dusting... at 6:30 am she starting BEGGING to get out in it. She kept asking if it was Christmas, coupled with the fact that we received a wayward Christmas card yesterday, she had a somewhat valid point. I held her off for as long as I could and then we bundled up and headed out!
Little sister just loved that she got to join the party. She spent most of her time copying whatever it was her sissy was doing.
We came inside and warmed up with some hot chocolate snow cream. Then it was back outside... this time they braved the cold alone and I watched from a window conveniently located next to the fireplace. They rode the Polaris and played until Mae's mitten got wet and then the party was over. Lunch for all, nap for Mae, more snow cream for me and then it was all gone. I use snow days as an excuse to do not one.single.thing all the day long so tomorrow I get to play catch up. It was fun while it lasted. =)
