Good Morning to ME!

How funny is this picture!?! Bes slept until 10 a.m. Saturday morning! (I could totally could get used to that!) When I went in to get her she had the biggest smile and a classic case of bed head! I immediately grabbed my camera and I took several pictures and in EVERY one her eyes were closed! Cracked me up! In case you are wondering... that would be Nilla wafers all over her pajamas... I went to the movies with some friends Friday night and apparently "anything goes" was the theme for her night with Daddy!

Jumping around!

Last Monday my sister Susan brought Will Riley, Brantley, Meg, Macy and Charlie to visit while they were all out for President's day. We all went to Jumpin' G's and had such a nice time! :)

Bes wasn't completely sold on the whole idea...

But it was right up Brantley's alley!

This was the steepest slide in the history of the world! I had to get up there (which wasn't easy!) and then I literally pulled the others up... then down we all went!

Aunt Sue and Besser taking a turn on the slide!

Afterwards, we stopped for a cookie and a Coke icee and Bes took Macy's purse and Sue's purchases and was acting like a big girl!

Brantley is thrilled that she finally has someone to boss around... 2 1/2 years of people telling her no... she's got to teach Bes a thing or two!

FuN In tHe TuB!

I've been a bad blogger... lots of pictures have been taken... and no blogging has been done. I've got some catching up to do! Last week Neil, Leah, and Jack came over and Jack found the tub crayons... then Bes wanted in on the action... and then... well, see for yourself! :)

This picture totally cracks me up! Bes looks like she is attacking poor Jack!

Cookie Mama Giveaway!

It all started one day when I was blogging and then one click lead to the next and I found The Cookie Mama... aka Shannon Willcutt. :) It was almost Bes's birthday and I am a TOTAL cookie girl so I just HAD to order her some. Shannon made the precious cookies above for us to eat and they were yummy and I was hooked! Since Bes's birthday was Thanksgiving weekend we just did the family thing with each of our families and I was a little bummed that Bes didn't dig into her cakes like I thought she would... I mean it was her FIRST birthday and I had been dreaming of the perfect photo op for an entire year! BUT on her actual birthday we had Shannon's cookies and it was then that I discovered that she's a cookie girl like her mama! Now we know to skip the cake and call Shannon!

In emailing back and forth Shannon figured out that she knew Brad and Heather from a LONG time ago! They used to carpool together! :) How cool is that!?! Obviously we were meant to be BFF's. So we got together for lunch one day and the rest is history! :) Crazy how a true friendship was made through a blog! Anyway, all that to say... I know several of you from home check my blog AND The Cookie Mama's and I wanted all to know that she is having a cookie giveaway! Click here and get yourself signed up! If any of you out of towners win, I'll make a special delivery! :)

Lucy Willcutt and Bes... Shannon, we need a picture of Bes, Lucy, AND Macy! :)

Bessie's Boo Boo

This is what's left of the bruise from my not-so-proud-mom-moment.

Another fun day at the Fashion Barn!

Today Bes and I woke up, got ready and headed to the Fashion Barn to play with Isabella and Landry! They must have worn her out... we got home around 2 pm and she slept until almost 6! This beautiful weather has been so nice so when we took our usual walk around the block we stopped to play and take pictures. Of course I took a ton so here are some of my favs. Isabella and Landry are so quick to smile and say cheese :) but Bes just doesn't understand her mama's love for a great photo!

If one's not cute enough... there's two of 'em for ya!

I took this one of Landry first and thought it was too cute so then I had to get Isabella to do the same so Erika could have 2 matching pictures... I'm OCD like that. :)

Bes and Isabella having a little girl time.... don't they look like they are seriously talking about something?

I wish I could've gotten a better picture of them. They all have the same matching outfits... thanks to Erika's mom-in-law... our Kelly's Kids rep! :)

I've been tagged!

Elizabeth tagged me (I think I am the Amy that she was talking about) and I am to post 10 of my pet peeves... so here goes... in no particular order...

1. When after I've been doing laundry all day I have all of Brad's clothes folded neatly on the bed and he takes them and proceeds to put it all on the chair instead of in the dresser... and might I add that the chair is sitting right next to the dresser!! (I said in no particular order but I'm pretty sure that's #1!)

2. Dog hair... EVERYWHERE. No pun intended.

3. Rude employees. Ok, so you hate your job. Don't take it out on me...

4. Road rage. I wouldn't call myself the most patient person but I find that getting mad at people for driving slower than I would like to go is senseless.

5. However, it does annoy me to no end when slow drivers drive in the fast lane. Get over people. Pretty please. :)

6. Not remembering where I put things.

7. An empty toilet paper roll after I've just sat down to potty.

8. The latest headline... "Man" births child. A man does not birth a child. He is a she, quit calling her a him! If you have a uterus, you are a woman, no matter what you wish you were.

9. The way that this world we live in thinks same sex marriage, abortion, and "men" giving birth is ok. It's not... Am I the only one with my head on straight here!?!

and 10. Riding down Hwy 45 (or any road for that matter) and seeing toddlers using the back seat as a trampoline. Buckle your kids up people!

Well, I just thought of another so I'll make it 11. When people say "We're pregnant"... We? Who's We? You got a frog in your pocket?

Meet Fiona and Fugly.

Tadpoles! Fiona and Fugly are tadpoles! Is that not hilarious!?! I have 2 grow-a-frogs in my laundry room! Brad got this little kit from his mom for Christmas and he had to send off for his tadpoles. It took about 6 weeks and he recently got them in the mail. Stay tuned... I'll post pictures as they "grow"... I know ya'll can't wait. :)

What a day!

This afternoon Bes and I took our first trip to the park. The weather was beautiful so we met the Barlow girls there for a little playdate and had such a fun time! Bes really wants to be a big girl like Lily and Meg and she tried her best to keep up with them. Here are a few of the pics that I took of the girls...

Bes and Meg BFF's in the making.

Peep-eye!

She was so proud of herself for making it through those tunnels!

I love me some Barlow's!

This is how she ended her day... conked out in the floor with Miller and Bear. We (Brad) is dogsitting Neil's new lab puppy (Bear) for him while he is working nights. It is one precious puppy but how happy I am that it's going home with the Mullins'! :) Miller produces enough dog hair for this chick to clean up... he doesn't need any help!

Worst mother of the year award...

... goes to yours truly! Today Bes and I took a shopping trip to Fashion Apparel. Bes started getting a little restless so while I was trying on clothes I let her get out of her NEW stroller to play. Afterwards I was ready to checkout so I just sat her in the stroller (without buckling her in). I was running my mouth, while trying to find my ringing cell phone, while paying and then we (as in ALL of Fashion Apparel) hear a THUMP... which is apparantley the sound Bes's head makes when it hits the ground! She tumbled out of her stroller head first! Aaaahhhh! I picked her up... off her head... and she had the biggest goose egg EVER! Rachel Faulkner and Leslie Hollis saw it actually happen... at least they know that I'm really not a horrible mother but the other 30+ people that were in there are probably praying for the poor little girl who's mother let her fall on her head. :) There was this sweet man that even followed me out to the car to make sure she was ok. Oh, my poor Bessie Boo.

This would be THE stroller... I put it together last night and she was totally loving it! She wanted in it and didn't want to get out... she even feel asleep in it. :) Hopefully she'll still be feeling the love for her stroller on our next trip! Oh me.

She got it from her mama!

I have created a monster! Bes wouldn't even put her blanket down to eat today and she cried all during her bath because I wouldn't let her hang on to her blankie! I think I'm jealous because if I thought it was acceptable for an almost 30 year old to carry a blanket around I totally would! :) Obviously, she got her blankie lovin' gene from her mama.

Ella's 1st birthday!

My neice Ella turned one on Saturday and she had the most precious PIG party! From the adorable pig cake (that my sister-in-law made!) to the yummy pig cookies (that Shannon the Cookie Mama made!)... everything was perfect! The party hats were some kinda cute... too bad Bes wasn't digging them. :)
