Two boys for Kacey and two girls for Janelle!!

Congratulations to Hugh, Kacey and Cayson!
Kacey is a precious friend of mine from college and today she added another sweet boy to her family! She says that there are few true surprises in life which is why she chose not to find out the sex of the baby during both of her pregnancies! AND she doesn't pick out definate names either! Oh my... not me... I'm such a planner... and a monogrammer! =) I just knew this one was a girl too! If you are pregnant and want to know the sex just ask me and then take the opposite and there you have it! =)

Sweet baby.

Big brother Cayson... all 14 months of him! Kacey is SO much braver than I! =)

Cayson is having nothing of Bes's sugar!

And he's not a big fan of her hugs either...

But she just won't let go!!
And Congratulations to John, Janelle, and Analynn!
Janelle is my best friend from high school and though I am sad to say that I don't have any pictures... Welcome Meredith Mae! I am anxious to see how big sister Analynn (she'll turn two week after next) takes to her new little sister! I'm taking notes here... =)

Happy Spring!

Since I think Spring has officially sprung it is now time to retire my old faithfuls to the winter closet for another season... oh but they'll be back... no matter how many times Glamour magazine says Uggs are "so last year"... I will remain true to my old friends.... for they have remained true to me. I'm also strongly considering adding a black pair to the collection next winter... I'm easy to please... just give me a comfy dress, some leggings, and a pair of Uggs and I'm good to go! Sad to see them go (even temporarily) but... HELLO SPRING! We've got baby birds in our bird house, the flowers are blooming and good times at the lake are just around the corner! God is good all the time and all the time He is good! =)

Sweet feet... and hips! =)

Bes got a pair of dress up shoes in her Easter basket and she loves them! The sound of those shoes clip clopping though the house is sweet music to my ears. A constant reminder that unto Him be the glory! It is so hard to believe that one year ago today Bes was having surgery to correct a hip contracture. At almost five months old I just couldn't bear the idea of my sweet baby having surgery but how thankful I am that the problem was found and corrected! At the time the doctor told us that we would just have to "wait and see" if she would crawl on time, walk on time, walk with a limp, or walk at all! Man, God is GOOD! To look back on the uncertainty of it all I think it was the first time in my life where I truly had to give it to God... there was absolutely not one single thing that I could do... but give it to God. Life lesson officially learned. =) Sweet Jesus, thank you, thank you, thank you for my precious little girl and her now perfect hip!

Happy Easter!

Wishing you a blessed Easter...

With love,

Brad, Amy and Bes

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

Mt Vernon Easter Egg Hunt

Despite the chilly weather today we had a great time at our church's Easter Egg Hunt this morning! Brad was on the golf course so with it being just me I didn't really have a chance to get any good pictures but Bes has officially gotten the hang of hunting Easter eggs! She had a blast and afterwards she wanted to carry her basket all by herself. When I tried to help her with it she said, "No mommy, mine!" Have I got my hands full or what!?!

Sweet memories...

I just love the history that goes along with my home... I grew up in the very house my father was born in with this very barn in my backyard... both built by my sweet Boppy. There is a beautiful magnolia tree in the front yard that Boppy planted when my dad was born 59 years ago. I have always thought that tree was so special so when Bes was born we planted her a tree too. I told Brad if we ever move to be prepared to find a way to take that tree with us! =) Well, the barn has lasted 60+ years and with each storm that passes that way another part of it falls in. Mama't has been at Daddy to tear it down and today was it's last day. Along with the old barn, Daddy also tore down our old playhouse. I didn't know it was getting torn down or I would have made a picture of it too. I asked Daddy today if he took down the Teen Beat posters of Corey Haim, Chad Allen, and Kirk Cameron before he tore it down. =) It makes me so sad to see them both go. Oh the memories that were made between the two. Daddy saved some of the front red boards from the barn so that we could have picture frames made. Those will be priceless to me...

Good Friday to you!

Today we went to the Brickerton Egg Hunt for some more Easter fun! Mt. Vernon's Relay for Life team had a Bake Sale at the egg hunt so I helped run the booth while Bes and her daddy had some fun together. Of course, I had to take some sweet pictures of them hunting eggs. =) Also, you might have noticed that the last several posts Bes is wearing the same dress. Well, since she's been sick she's only had just over a week to get all the wear out of her bunny dress that she can get so I've washed it every night and she's worn it every day! =)

Easter Egg Hunt at The Casano's

Wednesday morning we were invited to an Easter Party at Parker and Blake Casano's house. We (more like I) were so excited all week! We had a fun little morning visiting with friends, eating some yummy food and hunting some eggs! Bes quickly discovered that the eggs had candy in them so all she wanted to do was eat!

Way to go Sue!

My sister Susan recently passed her boards to become a nationally certified teacher! HUGE accomplishment! =) Saturday we went to her pinning ceremony at Ole Miss and had a big time with the family! Wooohooo! Go Sue!

Daddy and his four girls.

Bessie Boo and mommy

All attempts to get more than one of the kids in a picture failed... miserably... but we always give it our best shot!

And the nicest surprise EVER was my sweet friend Jeanne Beth was there!! That day there was also a class for those teachers about to take their boards so I actually saw a ton of old friends there but seeing JB made my day! She is getting married in May so stay tuned for some pictures of her as a beautiful bride!

The Easter bunny came early this year!

This was supposed to be part of Bes's Easter basket but when it got here Brad just couldn't wait to give it to her! He put it together and she's been playing with it ever since! Brad thought it would be the answer to his problems... you see, she got one of those little cars for her birthday and she loves it... but she loves her Daddy pushing her in it even better... so Brad thought he would get her one that could go on it's on and she would no longer need his assistance but much to his dismay, that is not the case. She still wants Daddy right by her side when she's on it. Such a Daddy's girl! =)

Best buddies!

Bes and Miller are inseparable... though I think Miller sometimes wishes it wasn't so. =) Her biggest belly laughs come when she is playing with Miller and she has really gotten good at throwing him his ball. If you can't find her she can probably be found just chilling with Miller on his bed, "reading" him a book, or just getting some Miller loving.

T-town with Maribeth and Brady

Wenesday we went to Tuscaloosa with Maribeth and Brady to do a little shopping. I forgot Bes's stroller which I will not EVER do again... but it made for a fun albeit CRAZY day! Once we made it to the mall we headed over to the Easter bunny train... Bes jumped right on and then things quickly took a turn for the worse...

She wanted off...
... BAD!!... and this picture pretty much sums up how she felt about the Easter Bunny too. She wouldn't even get close enough to him to have her picture made!
