A few of my favorites...

 Somehow swimming always ends up in skinny dipping.

Mae never made nice with Blake's new puppy. She really thought about it but then in the end decided that she didn't like him one bit.

Giving Charlie some sugar.

The second generation of Ms Rose's
smiley-face-cookie-lovin' has begun!

Helping mama wash her car.

In between.

In between closing on our old house and moving into our new house we decided to pass the time by staying with Mama't for a couple of weeks. I wouldn't have traded that time for anything! Every morning as soon as the girls woke up, they would head down the hall to see if Mama't was up yet. Bes was usually more interested in what all the cousins were up to but little Mae was all about Mama't! She was always worried about Mama'ts shoes... if they were off Mae thought she should have them on and if they were on she wanted them off. Every morning she would say, "hi, T" and at bedtime "night, night, T" and Mama't made sure that she either had an iced oatmeal cookie or a corn on the cob in her hand at all times. Us being homeless turned into a fun little break from the usual for us!

We spent most of our days swimming or just spending time with family. Once the big kids started school things got "boring" as Bes said so we loaded up and took the little girls to the splash park!

Catching up on summer...

Back in July, we took a mini vacation with the Mullins family to The Shoals... the plan was to spend the entire time at the pool but mother nature had other plans. It rained the whole time!

Sammy and Mae were loving some puddle jumping!
{side note: Mae ate the parking lot on the way out to the car... hence the goose egg}

There was a break in the showers so we headed out to the pool as fast as we could. Sadly, the water was FREEZING...

thank goodness they had an indoor pool as well!

Krispy Kreme... then on to the Children's Museum!

First day of school 2012

It's been a looooong summer but school has officially started! After much thought and prayer, we decided to move Bes to a new school for pre-k and though she was a little nervous about the change she was all smiles when I picked her up and said she had a great day! Let the learning begin!
