I'm baaaa-ck!!!

Somewhere between the increasing popularity of iPhone cameras and Instagram and my laptop biting the dust, I lost my way with documenting the life and times of the Sumrall girls. The more behind I became, the more overwhelmed I got and so here it is August and I haven't posted since October. Since this blog is essentially my scrapbook of sorts for all things Bes and Mae and our family, I am already looking back and saddened that I haven't recorded our days like I have in the past. So... for the four of you who read =) I will be backdating all that I have missed starting with Halloween 2013. I hope to be caught up soon... still trying to figure out my new Macbook! Lots of goodness is coming your way!

XOXO!

Bes's BIRTHDAY month!

November in a nutshell.

Bes lost her first tooth. She could not have been more excited. Best day ever and the tooth fairy even brought her a glittery five dollar bill. {$5!? I know, right? Daddy thought the first tooth deserved as much... not to mention there was not a single $1 bill to be found in our house!}

Somehow I thought it would be a fun idea to throw Bes a surprise party. My mom and I planned a little family fiesta at a Mexican restaurant in Tupelo. She was clueless. When we walked in and everyone yelled surprise she turned 18 shades of red, surprise turned to embarrassment to all out mad as a hornet in about 15 seconds. It took at least an hour for her to even begin to enjoy herself. Note to self: don't try that again. ever.

Our Thanksgiving get together with Brad's family fell on Bes's actual birthday so we partied again!

She got SO teased when everyone sang to her. =)

My little Bessie Boo is 6!!

More November fun included "super hero day" and Bes thought up this costume all by herself.
It's a bird... it's a plane... it's SUPER SISTER!!

Fun times with fun friends.

Sweet sister lovin'.

We took a little trip to visit Grandmother Harvill.

Bes's turkey in disguise assignment.

Mae's Thanksgiving feast at Fairview CDC.

 Bes's birthday morning surprise! Her room was
decorated by our elf, Shawn!

And this girl was born to party. 30 seconds into the excitement she had to get our of her pjs and into a party dress!

Ok, so it was a little more than a nutshell. =)

Halloween 2013

For Halloween Bes FINALLY decided that a kitty cat she would be. And THE cutest little kitty cat she was...

Mae didn't really have a choice... I had saved Bes's "punkin fairy" costume for such a time as this. And she looked just a precious in it as Bessie Boo did!

Bes has spent every single Halloween of her life with her buddy, Jack. {I just went back to all my Halloween posts through the years. *tear*}

Having a little fun with her buddy, Zach, at our church's
Trunk or Treat!

After the evening's craziness, we went to Chick-fil-a and when I looked over my life fast forwarded 10+ years and visions of date nights for my little girl came into my head... and then I choked back an ugly cry.

And it's very possible these two will make it to the age of date nights... if they don't kill each other first.

And I had to include this little goody! Tanner's shirt still going strong...
